Daily UI #002 – Credit Card Payment

My second task was to create a credit card payment interface. How did it go?

It went pretty smooth. As previously, my original sketch and the final product is very different due to what I’ve learnt during my research. Research consists of two phases- at first, I need to collect inspiration. The #dailyUI hashtag makes it easy to go through others’ works, read and learn from comments, etc. Second, I need to research principles and guidelines for such interfaces.

So what have I learnt from this?

Honestly, it looks like it varies from company to company what they ask for during credit card payment. The most obvious pieces of information seem to be the card number, name, expiration date and CVC code. Some ask for bank, type of card, some don’t.

I created tabs, in order for the customer to track their progress in the purchase process. This was absolutely personal, I like checkout pages with such features.
